IF; Vanity and Round

Last week's topic is "Vanity" suggestd by Haze (no url).

"Even in a time of elephantine vanity and greed, one never has to look far to see the campfires of gentle people." ~ Garrison Keillor

This week's topic is "Round" suggested by Cat (no url).

"A character who is thought-out is not born, he or she is contrived. A born character is round, a thought-out character is flat." ~ Rex Stout

This week, I've combined the previous week's Vanity with this week topic;  Round.
The round is represented by the papillottes (culer), the pearl necklace, the cucumbers, mole, rouche and the mirror shape.
Vanity has never been more in focus than in the 1700s, during the rococo style,
with white powdered faces, red artificial cheeks, fake moles and
vulgar, over sized hairstyles.
